About 65 km from Cañete, this very quiet and authentic village has no less than 10,000 inhabitants, including 2,000 Mapuche families who live mainly from fishing and agriculture. The small village has several beaches where you can practice water sports such as kitesurfing or kayaking. The big beach of Quidico is very windy, so it is particularly appreciated for windsurfing. But people come to Tirúa to discover its surroundings, including the village of Quidico (11 km away) and, just across the road, the national reserve of Isla Mocha (34 km away), which is only accessible by plane.
