One of the most beautiful places to stay in the tri-border region. The Yavari River or Javari (in Portuguese) is a direct tributary of the Amazon. It materializes part of the border between Brazil and Peru. The Palmari natural reserve is located on the Brazilian bank of the Javari river, 3 hours south of Leticia, in the middle of the jungle. It can be reached by boat, at least on the end of the route. The reserve covers three forest ecosystems and has a particularly rich biodiversity, with a real primary forest where rare animals such as the tapir, the jaguar and the harpy eagle live. It is a paradise for ornithology with hundreds of species. In this field, the reserve has trained local guides, specialized and especially passionate. The lodge promotes the sustainable management of the environment, in partnership with the neighboring communities. These communities benefit from an improvement in their quality of life (waste management, water treatment, education, health, environment to continue to live from traditional hunting and fishing)
