This national park of 293,500 ha located 1 hour 30 rápido from Leticia (direction Puerto Nariño) is the territory of 150 species of mammals, including the jaguar, the freshwater dolphin and the manatee(manatis), reptiles such as the caiman, the anaconda or the boa, and nearly 500 species of birds! The main facilities of the park have been closed since 2012 due to severe flooding, but there are still community tourism initiatives in the villages of the area, such as in the Ticuna community of San Martín, or in Mocagua, located inside the park, where several Ticuna families offer accommodation (Tomacahe, La Casita or Yeegune).
