About 20 kilometers north of Tarragona, we find the small village of Creixell, with its 2,800 sedentary inhabitants and its 2 kilometers of typical Costa Daurada beaches, including part ofEls Muntanyans beach, which it shares with the village of Torredembara and which is perhaps one of the last truly wild beaches on the coast. The town itself does not have any particular charm, except for the old center and its church, which combines multiple architectural traditions. Also of interest in the city center are the remains of the defensive towers that were part of a fortified complex from the 14th century: the tower of Cal Jeroni (Plaça Major), the tower of Ca la Miquelina (in front of the church), the tower of La Gàrgola, and the tower of Cal Cabaler (carrer Sant Jaume, next to the city hall). On the coast, the beaches of Creixell are rather pleasant... out of season! We will take advantage of some good hotel offers and restaurants of good quality. The presence of five campsites shows the density of the summer population. The city can welcome up to 30,000 visitors at the peak of the summer! For more information, visit the tourist office (C/ de l'Església, 3) or www.creixell.cat
