25 km northwest of Sacramento, the small capital of Yolo County is a friendly, quite rural and quiet town. The county capital is less populated (55,000 inhabitants) than its neighbour Davis (65,000 inhabitants). A pleasant stopover to visit the California Museum of Agriculture, which is very popular with children, or the Yolo County Historical Museum, and then have a meal in one of the city's farm restaurants.
