Malawi's southernmost city is surrounded by Mozambique from all sides. Nsanje proprette, located at less than 50 metres above sea level, is a border town, enjoying most of the basic services, where temperatures are often scorching in October and November (around 40°C). Minibuses connect the city to Blantyre (3,500 MWK) and the border crossing 27 km further south.
