On foot, on mountain biking or on a piste trail, the discovery of Dzimba is an exciting adventure. Dzimba is a village about 30 km downstream from Bangui, on the edge of the river. For cycling, the most picturesque promenade, take David Dacko Avenue to the Pétévo district, then ask for the direction "MPoko baccalaureate": it is possible to cross the river by canoe. The trail runs through the river and crosses fishing villages. Here you will discover the traditional manufacture of ngouli, this cassava based on cassava and corn, prepared in large 200 liter drums and the villagers are happy to propose to the tasting. But beware, the road is long, and tree trunks or old canoes, which serve as bridges to bridge the streams, are narrow and little stable! Gradually, the villages espacent and the forest becomes more and more dense. After about 6 hours walk from the ferry, you arrive in Dzimba on a terrace overlooking the river. It is also possible to walk in the forest, where Pygmy camps are never far away, or to take a tour of canoe to the island that faces the village.
