On the eastern border of Malawi, the small town of Milange is the best access point from the north of Mozambique to reach Blantyre, the capital, located 115 km away in about 2 hours. This is the most direct option if you are coming from Quelimane to cross the border. From Tete, the road is much more tortuous (4h30 drive). The town of Milange is quite lively, but there is not much to do there. You may still need to take a break on the road. This is an opportunity to take your time. Chapas and pick-ups leave at several times of the day for Mocuba (192 km, 3h30).
