Travel Guide Ostional

Ostional is a traditional fishing village. It is located south of the Pacific coast, 10 km from the Costa Rica border. It is the only village to have a native mangrove, with an exceptional flora and fauna (a small trail allows to walk). The Playa de Ostional is part of these beaches in the south of the country still virgin of any tourist construction. An idyllic place where you can easily lose a few days. From July to December, you can see whales. At night, around 23 o'clock, if you're curious and foolhardy, let's sit down on the beach and watch the arrival of marine turtles (coming to eggs, especially from September to December). Almost no one measures the beach of Ostional, the sky is beautifully star… absolutely sublime. For the most sports, surfing is of course the program, but the kite surf also, in Salinas Bay.
