The largest expanse of fresh water in Europe, influenced by the tides, a rather unique place to discover nature
The Biesbosch National Park is the largest tidal freshwater area in Europe. The city of Dordrecht is the main gateway to it. It is a very nice place to visit if you are in the area. It was officially created in 1994 and has an area of 40,000 hectares. The fauna and flora are varied. The visit of the park can be done by solar boat and it is advisable to visit the center of interpretation of the nature with its "green" roof covered with sedums. A unique place to discover nature in the Netherlands.

Magnifique parc naturel. La ballade commentée en bateau vaut vraiment la peine. Très bon réseau de pistes cyclables et sentiers balisés aussi pour poussettes et fauteuils roulants. Le centre d'information est très bien documenté, bien présenté et accessible pour les jeunes enfants.
