Particularly proud of its industrial history, the town of Izegem has converted the former Éperon d'Or shoe factory into a cultural center, tourist center and museum. The collections of the Shoe and Brush Museums are now housed in this splendid art-deco factory. The museum shows the evolution of shoe and brush making, from the earliest days of craftsmanship to the advent of modern techniques, which require real human dexterity. A visit as playful as it is astonishing.
