The fortifications of Ypres are the best preserved in Belgium, restored after the devastation of the First World War. Ten centuries old, their construction has expanded over time, with stone towers, bastions, ditches and more. Following a signposted trail, 23 panels tell the story of the constructions (walls, ditches, banks), the war, and the flora and fauna that developed on these remarkable sites.

C’est un beau lieu de promenade avec une vision sur le centre d’Ypres (Monuments, Eglises). C’est très agréable se balader dans cet immense parc avec des allées et bordé d’innombrables arbres. Les remparts sont dans un superbe état de conservation malgré les nombreux conflits subits. Beaucoup aussi de panneaux d’informations sur l’histoire. Lieu calme et reposant.
