St. Peter's Church, the oldest church in the municipality, with Romanesque-Gothic architecture typical of the Ypres region.
It is the oldest in the commune (12th and 13th centuries), where Robert the Friesian, Count of Flanders, built a house of prayer in the 11th century. In the 15th century it became a hall church, a typical Romano-Gothic architecture of the region. The first tower was destroyed in a fire in 1638. It was not until 1868 that the church got a new bell tower. Nearly destroyed during the First World War, it was the architect Jules Coomans who worked on its renovation, replacing the Gothic upper part with a Romanesque tower. A nice mix of styles.
