This confectionery is legendary, and has been in existence for over thirty years! Firstly, it's housed in a characterful 17th-century building, and its facade features bas-reliefs depicting the seven works of mercy. Its specialty? The cuberdon - neuzeke, the nose, in French - a cone-shaped candy made from gum arabic, filled with raspberry syrup (fragrant and very sweet), typical of Ghent. Other Ghent sweets include mokken (round aniseed cookies) and knopkes (a type of cookie).
