MARAIS TUFEUX DE SALIVES
A unique natural site offering a hiking trail and exceptional flora and fauna with rare and protected species
The Salives tufa marsh is one of 200 such marshes in the Forêt National Park. This unique natural site encourages the continuous creation of tuff, the limestone used in the construction of the Loire castles. The footpath leading to the site allows you to understand how this natural site has functioned for thousands of years. On site, you'll be able to see an exceptional array of flora and fauna, including rare and protected species. Follow the Alpine Newt signs to get there!
