A museum to discover the life of the bargemen and the barge industry through a permanent exhibition in Saint-Jean-de-Losne.
Housed in a 15th century house, one of the oldest houses in the town, the Musée de la Batellerie invites you to discover the life of the bargemen and the inland waterway industry through a permanent exhibition that is both entertaining and highly documented. Old photos, models of boats and locks, not forgetting this superb diving boat that looks like something out of Tintin's adventures. We owe to the Aqua association the renovation of the last wooden barge in France.

Saône avec un repas excellent nous avons enchaîner avec la visite du musée de la batellerie très intéressante avec une guide qui nous a bien re enseigné sur la vie de St Jean de losne et du trafic important sur la Saône pour le transport des marchandises.
Au final une journée agréable qui peut se compléter par la promenade autour du port de plaisance un des plus importants de France
Je tiens à remercier la guide qui m'a proposé la visite guidée, elle a su pleinement transmettre l'histoire de la batellerie !
