Trains arrive here from Semarang via Temanggung, from Yogyakarta via Kroya, from Cirebon via Bumiayu, and from Bandung to Semarang and Surabaya.Despite some remnants of the Dutch era, Purwokerto remains an uninteresting town to visit. Better to stay in Baturaden, a mountain resort 14 km away.
