Hoburgen is the sunniest place in the country and the southernmost part of Gotland. Here, the island's land ends in a plateau that slopes dramatically down to the sea at the edge of a cliff. The plateau consists of limestone cliffs that rest on a sandstone formation. The cliffs are 20 to 30 meters high. From this unique place you can enjoy the sea with three winds. There are also caves in this area, and the place is excellent for bird watching. The Hoburg lighthouse is open to visitors during the summer, and the rock pile that forms the Hoburgsgubben is a must-see.
