The village of Gothem, on route 146, is located 5 km inland. The church, in ruins, still has medieval portals and, inside, frescoes from the 14th century.For nature lovers, go in search of Gothem Suderbys, a nature reserve consisting of a very old forest with a soft moss floor. The Gothem Suderbys nature reserve consists of an area of coniferous forest of about 28 hectares, dominated by pine trees. Many of the trees are old, and the forest now has the character of a natural forest. Dead wood is abundant and provides a habitat for many species of fungi and wood-boring insects.
