The Mashatu Game Reserve is a small wonder located between the Tuli Safari Area, a national park in Zimbabwe, and Mapungubwe National Park in South Africa; it encompasses about 40% of the total area of the Northern Tuli Game Reserve. At the heart of these 29,000 privately owned hectares is something for wildlife enthusiasts: an enormous amount of African wildlife is represented, in a sleek setting that invites relaxation. Lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, ostriches, raptors and antelopes - among others - roam under the tranquil skies inhabited by nearly 350 species of birds, all in the midst of century-old baobabs.
