Nestled atop a cliff, Mashatu Euphorbia Villas is Mashatu Game Reserve's newest luxury eco-camp. The 8 villas with private solar-heated pools offer moments of solitude amidst lush greenery composed mainly of euphorbia plants. Their shapes are inspired by the trunk of the mopane tree, a species endemic to southern Africa, and reveal clean lines. The common areas are also well integrated into nature, allowing guests to reconnect. Safaris are exclusive, with four guests per vehicle.

At the junction of Botswana, Zimbabwe and South Africa, lies one of the brightest stars in the Botswana tourism universe: the Mashatu Game Reserve. This 32,000-hectare (7,660-acre) expanse of pristine wilderness is home to some of the largest elephant herds on the continent. Guests can observe Africa's predators on a daily basis: lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, jackals and wild cats.
Located atop a cliff, hidden under towering euphorbia trees, Mashatu Euphorbia Villas is the beautiful new five-star eco-camp at Mashatu Game Reserve.
Mashatu Euphorbia Villas is an intimate composition of 8 luxury villas. The shape of the villas is inspired by the local Mopane tree. The Mopane tree is very important in this region, as it is the main source of food for all animals during the very dry winter months. The unique curves and shapes are molded with local raw materials to echo the breathtaking natural beauty of the reserve.
Sustainability is at the heart of this earthy glamour, with solar-heated private pools, solar air conditioning, and conservation consciousness in every element of the camp.
With 92% of days without rain a year at Mashatu, solar power was the logical step to take, along with state-of-the-art water treatment and recycling systems, creating an oasis of conservation harmony.
Guests are welcomed into their own private villas with terraces overlooking the ravine below. The eight secluded villas embody a quiet, peaceful solitude to relax and unwind. They have an indoor and outdoor shower, an indoor toilet and a second toilet with a view. They are spacious and have plenty of seating and relaxation areas.
The airy common areas encourage guests to connect with the wild paradise around them, while the cozy nooks welcome an aura of relaxation. Guests are welcomed into the nest, perched on the edge of the cliff, to enjoy their morning coffee and watch the sunrise. During high tea, many antelopes and elephants can be seen drinking and frolicking in the Majale River below the camp, while the rolling hills unfold towards the horizon.
Guests savor the essence of exclusivity with only 4 people per safari vehicle as they explore the reserve. Returning from the night drive, magical fireside evenings are created as guests sit under illuminated candelabra, sampling fresh flavors and savoring the dramatic dining experience.
