At the eastern end of the Zambezi River Strip, at the junction of the Chobe and Zambezi Rivers, lie the Impalila and Kakumba Islands, close to the border where Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana and Namibia meet at Kazangula. On Impalila, several luxurious lodges offer a unique location and breathtaking scenery.Access: It is not possible to reach the island and therefore the lodges by car. A boat will pick you up in Kasane (Botswana). Be careful, you have to cross the border of Ngoma (between 6am and 6pm) and that of Kasane (be sure to specify that you are in transit to Impalila Island Lodge)
