The Chobe National Park covers about 11 700 km ². Famous for its great elephant concentration (the largest of Africa), it is also for its strong hyenas and lions population and for the great diversity of its habitats. Since the construction of the asphalt road between Maun and Francistown in Kasane, the Chobe has been increasingly frequented. The attentive traveller will soon be quickly aware of being within a natural area of the world: Indeed, this package includes the northern territories of the North - Moremi and Chobe, which totals about 15 000 km ² - but also adjacent regions - concessions from Okavango and natural areas in the Chobe region representing an area of the same order. It is like if Brittany were entirely devoted to wild nature!Chobe National Park is all Year round, especially the River Front section easily accessible from Kasane. In dry season all sections are to, but sand can be deep in some places. The end of the dry season is marked by a high concentration of animals around the water points. Wildlife is under tension, especially in Savute. In rainy season, sections of Savute, Linyanti and Nogatsaa may be difficult to reach. An experienced tour operator is required. This season has those charms; the vegetation is in full health, birds are more numerous, the large herds of zebras and wildebeests are present and it is also the birth period. The mid-season periods are particularly recommended: April-May, and September, October and November.
