Travel Guide Garibaldi

Named after the leader of the Italian Unionist "red shirts" of the 19th century, Garibaldi is the "other" city on the wine route, the twin of Bento Gonçalves. More specifically, Garibaldi is known as the "capital of sparkling wines"(capital dos espumantes). Since the first production of wine using the Champagne method in 1913, many wineries have developed their production using this method. The atmosphere is pleasant.
