The city of Bohicon, located less than ten kilometers from the royal city of Abomey, is above all an important crossroads. The town is especially known for its small maquis of all kinds, where you can eat for almost nothing, ideal for a short break when walking in the region. The underground village of Agongointo, its main tourist attraction, was being renovated when we visited in 2022. Otherwise, it is still best to sleep in Abomey. If you must travel to Bohicon, you will find zemidjans, as in the rest of the country. In Bohicon, the zems wear purple and yellow shirts
