The commune of Pobé is located about 12 kilometers north of Sakété and is ruled by a Yoruba king. As he is not an Ala, a descendant of the ruler of Ifé, he does not wear the pearl-fringed crown, but a copper crown. In the middle of the savannah, the commune of Pobé still has a very beautiful sacred forest that can be visited... with the king's permission of course! As in the neighboring communes of Kétou and Sakété, it is not easy to attend a guélédé mask release. It is in the months of March and April that you have the best chance of getting there. Notice to curious tourists!
