Travel Guide Vaitoare

Vaitoare is the main port of Tahaa and the only gateway to the island, with no airport. It marks the beginning of your discovery of the "Vanilla Island". From there, a road leads to the wild bay of Apu, then to Poutoru. Towards the east, the road winds its way to Mount Fareura and then to Haamene. The northern shore of the coastline runs along Faaaha Bay, the birthplace of the god Hiro according to legend, dominated by several 500 m peaks. The road continues to Patio, capital of this small world of fishermen and breeders; the panorama is exceptional. The last village of Tiva leads to the kingdom of vanilla, cultivated around the bay of Hurepiti.
