A quiet village on the west coast. Whether you are staying here or making a stopover, don't miss a visit to the Tainu'u marae, one of the most imposing in the Leeward Islands: it can be seen about 100 meters from the ring road. Made up of blocks of coral, it extends over about 50m2 behind the Protestant temple. The latter, built in 1961 and inaugurated in 1968, is worth a stop: its typical architecture is particularly photogenic. Upstream from the remains of the marae, several structures dot the hill, including the Tetuira marae, once considered a tabu, and the pae pae Taputuara'i.
