Several fishing villages are located on its shores, including that of Shiroka, a small seaside resort ideal for relaxation. Very popular with the inhabitants of Shkodra, the village enjoys a splendid view over the lake. King Zog I built one of his villas. Shiroka is located 7 km west of Shkodra, at the foot of the Tarabosh Mountains.
