A former Benedictine abbey, steeped in history, with superb gardens and an English-style park, a great place to visit in Bèze.
Founded in 630, Bèze Abbey is one of the oldest in Burgundy. A visit to this bucolic site, with an audioguide or in the company of the Brasart family, is an opportunity to retrace almost a thousand years of history. The English-style park, redesigned in the 19th century, offers an opportunity to stroll in the shade of the two-hundred-year-old plane trees and purple beech trees that dominate this estate, through which the River Bèze flows. The flower and rose garden closes this charming escapade on a site whose buildings are classified as Historic Monuments.
