Halfway between Veracruz and Puebla, the beautiful pueblo mágico of Orizaba is located at the foot of the highest mountain in Mexico, Orizaba Peak (which is a volcano). Its snow-covered peak reaches 5,636 meters, making it a favorite destination for experienced climbers, but the volcano is also open to non-professionals, provided they are in good physical condition and are accompanied by a mountain guide. But if the city is overshadowed by this imposing mountain, its well-preserved historical center is also worth a stop. A cable car takes you to the top of a nearby hill to admire the city and its surroundings
