Just 10 km south of Limerick, Adare is considered one of Ireland's most beautiful villages. There's no point in contradicting this reputation. Let's just say that Adare is not a small town of dollhouses, but of doll cottages. Nicely overrated... And of course, it draws the crowds. These cottages were built by the Earl of Dunraven in the 1820s. Adare is also home to several medieval buildings and a golf course: the Adare Manor Golf Club, an 18-hole course designed by Robert Trent Senior and which has hosted prestigious international competitions. There's also a luxurious 5-star manor house to base your suitcases.
