Tlemcen National Park, whose creation dates back to 1993, is one of the youngest in Algeria. The park is replete with archaeological remains: ruins of Mansourah, Sidi Boumedienne mosque, waterfalls and cliffs of El-Ourit, Béni caves, forests at Ifri, Zariffet, and Ain Fezza. The topography of the park varies greatly between the Montagneuses and Zarifet mountain ranges and the more rugged areas of Ain Fezza, El-Meffrouche and Lalla Setti. The climate is also very diverse, between the cool winters of the reliefs, and the drier parts where it rains less and is much warmer. Each area therefore attracts its own fauna and flora.
