50 km west of Tlemcen on the N7 via Sabra and almost 80 km through the Kef Valley, a deep valley carved by a piece of the Tafna, the main river of the wilaya of Tlemcen that rises near Sebdou south of Tlemcen-Maghnia, is only a few kilometers from Morocco and 25 km from Oujda. It is a medium-sized city of nearly 100,000 inhabitants that owes its development to the irrigation of the region and, it is said, to the traffic between Morocco and Algeria. It is also famous for its spice trade: saffron, turmeric... Then head for the nearby beaches if you don't go to the spas of Boughrara or Chigueur.
