Perched on a hillock overlooking the valley, this 13th century fortified village is now inhabited by only a few families. Leave your car at the car park and walk up to the village. Walking through the narrow, winding streets, you will discover the prison and the watchtower above the village gate. In addition to their wrought iron windows and carved doors, the houses have terraces overlooking the valley. This Chleuh agadir is one of the last bastions of Berber resistance against the French, who were discouraged by the Chleuhs' resistance and lifted the siege. The village nevertheless fell into their hands in 1939.
