Considered one of the most beautiful on the Côte-Nord, this small village of 300 souls owes its name to the roar of its river, long known as "Thunder River". The magnificent wooden church is well worth a visit. Its vault, over 8 metres high, is decorated with some sixty motifs, all carved with a penknife. From the church, take a stroll along the long, beautiful beach to admire the scenery and breathe in the salty air. And in season, don't miss the chicoutai harvest. Rich in antioxidants, with a tangy flavor and hints of mango and apricot, this small orange fruit has been cultivated in Canada for 400 years.
