The former mining village of Real de Asientos, the oldest of the state, is located 60 km northwest of Aguascalientes. Today, thanks to the activity of large companies operating in the hilly and semi-desert landscapes of the vicinity, there remains. The center of the village still has some colonial buildings, including Casa Larrañaga, Casa del Minero, the remains of a very beautiful stone aqueduct or the tunnel, built at the beginning of the eighteenth century to protect the Parroquia Nuestra Señora from the water filtrations.
