This beautiful mountain town is located about 50 miles east of Salt Lake City. Its downtown area, called Park City Town and located on Main Street, is home to several bars and restaurants, small stores and art galleries that make it a nice place to go out at night or to walk around during the day. However, the main reason for coming to Park City is for the skiing.Once a mining town, then for a while a ghost town, it has managed to find a second wind - and even to reveal itself - with sports tourism. Thus, it has become a reference in winter sports and played an important role in the 2002 Olympic Games. It was here that the Utah Olympic Park was built, where the ski jumping, bobsleigh, luge and skeleton events were held. In total, nearly 40% of the Olympic events were held here. Today, competitions are still held in the Olympic Park, which also opens its doors to the public with a great selection of thrilling activities.
