The large town of Andapa allows visitors to visit two nearby natural wonders: Marojejy National Park, located about 40 km away, and the little-known special reserve of Anjanaharibe-Sud, about 25 km to the southwest (difficult access). In the latter, one can observe the Indri Indri, the Simpona or silky sifaka (one of the 25 most endangered species of primates in the world, also seen in Marojejy), the striped-bellied falcon(Falco zoniventris), a plant from ancient times(Takhtajania perrieri), more than 300 species of ferns, and more than 30 species of palm trees... Three circuits have been marked out for travelers.
