As you approach Andasibe, tropical vegetation is everywhere. The railway station, post office and church, together with the Protestant temple, form the center of the village of wooden houses. People come to Andasibe to listen to the morning song of the Indri Indri, the largest of the lemurs. The best season is from late September to late November, but you can hear them all year round. October is usually fully booked (reserve a bed in advance). Here, there's "rano be", water, water and more water! But that's why the forest is so generous, isn't it? Make sure you bring warm clothing, especially from June to September.
