Port Edward is a small, busy resort on the edge of the wilderness coastline. It is situated on the south coast in the beautiful KwaZulu-Natal region, an ideal spot for a family holiday and not too touristy. The main beach of Silver Beach is easily accessible, but even more beautiful and a touch wilder, as you head north up the coastline, are Leisure Bay Beach or, slightly higher, Munster Beach. If you are coming from Port Saint John's, you could take the small road through Bizana: it is beautiful and in pretty good condition so the drive is pleasant.
