The pretty coastal town of Kleinmond is less than 40 km from Hermanus via the R44 and R43. At the beginning of the 20th century, a whaling station was built at Stony Point. Fortunately, in 1930, whaling stopped on its own due to the fall in the price of whale oil. In the heart of a Unesco listed biosphere, one comes here to see nature: the ocean, the wild horses and the penguin colony. Kleinmond beach is one of our favorites. In season, around July and October, you will see whales along a walk on the beach. What a delight!
