LES VERGERS DU CHOUQUET
Production of AOC Pays d'Auge ciders, apples and calvados
On the hillsides of the Pays d'Auge, halfway between Camembert and Le Sap, the Aguinet family is a traditional producer. Their calvados, pommeau and cider, produced from 10 hectares of low and high-stem orchards, have been awarded the AOC Pays d'Auge appellation. It takes 15 years of ageing to appreciate the warm notes and floral bouquet of the calvados. For the pommeau, the estate has the particularity of ageing it for a long time in oak barrels, producing a slightly smoky taste.
