In the heart of the Pays d'Auge, nestles a village whose (small) size and small population (less than 200 inhabitants) are inversely proportional to its fame: Camembert. Here, in the middle of the meadows, was born the famous cow's milk cheese that has been delighting palates for over two centuries. This specialty is the fruit of a meeting between Marie Harel, a young farmer, and a refractory priest, Abbé Bonvoust. Every year, thousands of visitors take the winding road to the village to visit the Maison du Camembert. Located near the church, this tourist attraction is a meeting point for the curious.
