DAS DEUTSCHE ECK
Read moreThe Deutsches Eck is located at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle rivers and is a promontory with a statue of Kaiser Wilhelm in the middle. The building is crowned by a very large equestrian statue, with a quote from the Koblenz poet Max von Schenkendorf engraved on the pedestal: "The empire will never be destroyed, / If you are united and loyal! After the fall of the Berlin Wall, three concrete pieces of the Wall were placed next to the monument. On October 3, 1990, the coats of arms of the new federal states were added. A large national flag and the flags of the sixteen federal states commemorate German unity.
