Square with a statue of William , offering a superb view of the Ehrenbreitstein fortress site and the two rivers.

The famous "Deutsche Eck" (German Corner) is the pointed platform that juts out at the confluence of the Moselle and the Rhine, offering a superb view on the site of the Ehrenbreitstein fortress and the two rivers. The corner is dominated by the gigantic statue of William I (falsely aged, since it was rebuilt and reinstalled in 1993... the old one had been dismantled by the Americans, in 1945). Purely Kolossal. Near the tip of the Deutsche Eck there are also three fragments of the Berlin Wall, white with bullet holes, dedicated to the victims of the separation of Germany.
