Located at the mouth of the Onilahy River and at the foot of imposing limestone cliffs, Saint-Augustin is a pleasant small typical vezo village. It is here that you can embark on a pirogue to reach Anakao, but be careful: do not leave with the first piroguier that comes along. Every morning at dawn, the Onilahy delta is particularly animated: cohorts of dugout canoes, loaded to the brim with plastic cans, come to refuel with fresh water, which the "water merchants" will then sell to all the coastal villages of the south.
