Crowsnest Pass (or The Pass) brings together five villages, each with its own unique history. Coleman, Bellevue, Hillcrest, Frank and Blairmore were founded in the early 1900s, during the coal boom, partly for the railway. At the end of those prosperous years, residents settled as ranchers and gradually built another more land-oriented community. The region is also the territory of the K'tunaxa (Kutenai) and Piikani (Peigan) Aboriginal communities. Today, Cowsnest Pass is home to a vibrant arts community and offers many cultural activities. An opportunity to discover the history of southern Alberta from a unique perspective.
