Monte Forte is located 4 km from Neves. As you arrive, on the left, the entrance to a track leads to the Monte Forte plantation through an alley of palm trees. Founded in the 19th century by the Portuguese, the roca is now the headquarters of the organic cocoa cooperative CECAB, which produces around 10,000 tons of beans per year. Since 2004, it has also been developing rural tourism activities, offering sea trips, bird watching and hiking as well as accommodation and catering. At the top of the coast, there is a beautiful panoramic view of the sea and the old master's house has been converted into an inn.
