Continuing the road north, we pass by Guadalupe, one of the largest towns in the country, with its nearly 2,000 inhabitants. A small market offers some vegetables and fruits, and a gas station, not far away, allows to fill up. There are also some food shops. When you arrive in the north, the vegetation changes and the arid savannas contrast with the abundant vegetation of the equator. They have replaced the old sugar cane plantations, still cultivated in some places, in an artisanal way. From there, the landscape is populated by giant baobabs that advance to the edge of the beaches.
